July 7, 2015  Nancy Zimpher, NASH board chair, and John Engler, Business Roundtable President and former Michigan governor, announced a new toolkit encouraging states to maintain higher expectations despite potential concern about the results of the new, more rigorous assessments.

Citing the successful collaboration of K-12 and higher ed through opportunities like 12th grade bridge courses, dual enrollment and courses aligned to career pathways, Zimpher encourages higher education to focus on the completion, not just celebrate admission, in order to improve.
