February 25, 2016 — An article from the Hechinger Report asks this question, in the face of a new report that suggests 40 percent of students who had an A average in high school were placed into remedial classes.  86 percent of students surveyed  believed they were prepared for college when they first enrolled,  but 67 percent tested into remedial coursework.
